Clarine was born in Brooklyn, NY, raised on Long Island, NY, and later moved with her family to Los Angeles, CA in the early 80's and is currently living in Palm Springs, CA.

Fiber arts were a strong presence in her childhood home--her mother taught her to knit, and to appreciate and understand the functionality, versatility and beauty of different fibers. Her father, an Architect, instilled in her the importance of shape and form. Both taught her to be rebellious and curious. These themes are ever-present in her work.

After retiring from a long career as a designer/manufacturer of women's accessories and clothing, and later as a brand manager for a successful celebrity brand in Los Angeles, Clarine dedicated her time to exploring and furthering her artistic voice. Her knitting evolved into sustainable and functional art vessels and her felting techniques expanded to include wet felting, fulling and dry felting.

She has been recognized at several art shows and venues and continues to participate in philanthropic artistic events.
